Use an independent route to the issuer
Read the laboratory name, then find its official website independently. Do not rely solely on a link or QR code printed inside an unverified document. Look for an official verification service or a published contact route.
Match the identifiers
Compare the report ID, issue date, named sample, batch and test scope against the laboratory record. A similar-looking report or matching supplier name is insufficient if the sample details differ.
Preserve a precise observation
Record the source URL, date and the exact scope of your check. Distinguish “file located”, “issuer record matched” and “batch relationship established”. If a laboratory cannot confirm a report, retain that uncertainty.
Remember the limit of authenticity
Authenticity establishes that a record came from its issuer. It does not establish how a sample was selected, whether every unit in a batch is identical, or suitability for human use. Those are separate questions.
